Funder:
National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK)/National Institutes of Health (NIH)
About:
This pilot study 1) developed an electronic pre-visit screening tool for patients with diabetes that subsequently tailors solutions for reducing financial concerns with diabetes therapeutic recommendations; 2) assessed feasibility, acceptability, and preliminary efficacy of the screening tool in clinics serving patients with diabetes. The study showed that a financial burden resource tool is highly acceptable to patients, easy to administer, and can prompt behavior change.
