What motivates you to do this work?
Growing up in Mexico, I participated in medical brigades focused on identifying early signs of type 2 diabetes and educating both parents and children about healthy nutrition and lifestyle habits. Through these experiences, I saw that what often prevented people from receiving much-needed medical care was not a lack of motivation, but rather limited education, access, and support. This experience continues to motivate me to look for ways to reduce these barriers and help patients with chronic diseases access the care and resources they need to improve their quality of life.
